Pedestrian in crosswalk seriously injured when hit by Halifax Transit bus

HALIFAX, N.S. — A 22-year-old man has been hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Halifax late Monday night.

Just after 7:30 p.m., Halifax Regional Police were called to the intersection of South and Robie streets after the driver of a Halifax Transit bus turning right onto Robie struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at a marked crosswalk.  



The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.  

The collision remains under investigation.
