President Donald Trump’s motorcade was greeted by dozens of camels during visit to Qatar

President Donald Trump’s visit to Qatar on Wednesday was met with a unique and traditional welcome – dozens of mounted camels greeted his motorcade as his plane landed in the Middle Eastern country. Trump expressed his appreciation for the gesture during a meeting with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, noting that he hadn’t seen camels like that in a long time.

The motorcade procession from the Doha airport to the Amiri Diwan, the central hub of the Qatari government, featured not only camels but also red Tesla Cybertrucks, a nod to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, a close ally of Trump. Additionally, men on horseback accompanied the motorcade, adding to the grandeur of the welcome.

During his visit, Trump signed several agreements with al-Thani, including a purchasing agreement for Boeing aircraft and letters of intent for joint cooperation between Qatar and the U.S. The visit also included a Qatari State Dinner, where Trump engaged with local leaders and dignitaries.

This visit to Qatar followed Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia, where he signed a strategic economic partnership worth $600 billion. The agreements in Saudi Arabia focused on energy, defense, mining, and space-based initiatives, with Trump touting the potential creation of two million jobs in the U.S. as a result of the deal.

In Saudi Arabia, Trump was welcomed with fighter jet escorts for Air Force One and a greeting from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the tarmac. The Saudis also went the extra mile by setting up a mobile version of Trump’s favorite fast-food chain, McDonald’s, in Riyadh during his visit.
