Newfoundland and Labrador performed his sixth provincial immigration stretching of the year on July 29.

Invitations were issued to Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) candidates.

How to be considered

In February this year, Newfoundland and Labrador switched to an EOI system for both the NLPNP and AIP.

Prior to this system change, the province worked on the basis of who comes first, first grinds.

If you are now interested in emigrating to the province, you must submit an EOI to the OIM.

The OIM rates Eois and issues invitations to adjust batches in batches all year round.

You can only continue with an NLPNP application or be included in an AIP approval application if you have an ITA.

To be eligible for an ITA, your EOI profile must be tailored to the “labor market needs and continuous interests of the province.”

The province has identified much needed professions within priority sectors and exempt jobs from these professions of testing the labor market, in addition to providing these applications with priority processing.

From the moment of writing, the priority sectors are

  • Healthcare;
  • Information and communication technology; And
  • Aquaculture.

Details about which professions fall under each sector can be found on the Newfoundland and Labrador official website.
