Randy Moss Reveals Battle with Cancer

Former Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss made a shocking announcement on Friday, revealing that he is currently undergoing treatment for cancer in his bile duct. The cancer is located between his pancreas and liver.

During an Instagram Live session, Moss, using a cane for support, bravely shared that he had recently undergone a procedure to have a stent placed in his liver after noticing discoloration in his urine. He expressed gratitude to his “prayer warriors” for their unwavering support during this challenging time.

The 47-year-old Moss disclosed that he had spent six days in the hospital before being discharged on Friday. He is now undergoing a treatment regimen that includes radiation and chemotherapy.

Moss took a step back from his role as an analyst on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” on December 6 in order to focus on his health. However, he remains optimistic about returning to television in the future.

In his illustrious career, Moss played for several NFL teams, including the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ers. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

Moss holds the second spot in NFL history for the most touchdown catches, with a total of 156. Additionally, he set a league record in 2007 with 23 touchdown receptions while playing for the New England Patriots.
