The Royal Canadian Air Force says one of its military helicopters was involved in an incident when it operated near the Ottawa River near Garrison Petawawa at 12:10 a.m. local time today.
The Royal Canadian Air Force says one of its military helicopters was involved in an unspecified incident early this morning during operations in eastern Ontario.
The Air Force says a CH-147 Chinook helicopter is involved.
The incident occurred just after midnight near the Ottawa River near a Canadian Forces military base near Petawawa, Ont.
It is not clear how many people were on board.
The Air Force says first responders have arrived and are working in the area.
Petawawa is about 100 miles northwest of Ottawa.
