RCMP investigating ATM heist in Springhill, N.S.

SPRINGHILL, N.S. — A brazen ATM theft from a business early Sunday, Aug. 27, has Cumberland County District RCMP turning to the public for information.

Around 4 a.m., RCMP responded to an intrusion alarm at a McGee Street business in Springhill. Officers discovered thieves had used a truck to pull an ATM out of the establishment before fleeing the scene.

Mounties later located the truck, destroyed by fire, about 500 metres from the break-in location.
