Rep. Anna Paulina Luna blasts DOJ over Jeffrey Epstein address book

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, has been tirelessly pressing the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the release of classified records related to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Luna was left disappointed after it was revealed that not all the documents would be released as promised on Thursday.
In a post on social media, Luna expressed her frustration, stating, “I nor the task force were given or reviewed the Epstein documents being released today… A NY Post story just revealed that the documents will simply be Epstein’s phonebook. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR and a complete disappointment. GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!”
The New York Post reported that a source who had reviewed the files claimed they consisted of more than 100 pages of Epstein’s address book. This fell short of Luna’s expectations and the public’s demand for transparency.
President Donald Trump had signed an executive order last month calling for the release of top-secret documents, including those related to Epstein, as well as the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King.
Luna, who leads the House Oversight Committee’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, had sent letters to the DOJ requesting the release of the documents on February 11 and February 19. However, she had not received a response from the department.
After reaching out on social media, Luna finally heard back from the DOJ, which acknowledged her requests and committed to meeting its legal obligations. Attorney General Pam Bondi had announced that the Epstein documents would be released on Thursday, but the release did not meet expectations.
Bondi later sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, accusing federal investigators in New York of withholding thousands of pages of Epstein documents. She demanded that the FBI deliver the full Epstein files by the next morning, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings related to Epstein and his clients.
Luna did not immediately respond to requests for comment, but the efforts to uncover the truth about Epstein’s crimes continue. The pursuit of justice and transparency remains a top priority for Luna and others dedicated to holding perpetrators of sex trafficking and exploitation accountable.
In conclusion, the fight for the release of classified documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s case is ongoing, and lawmakers like Rep. Anna Paulina Luna are committed to ensuring that the truth comes to light. Transparency and accountability are essential in addressing the heinous crimes committed by Epstein and his associates.
