Restaurant Review: Four Winds The Hub of Agri Community in TSAWAGEN

The family behind four wind has interesting local roots. Three generations ago, grandfather Jack Mills founded Mills Paints and grew to 17 stores in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. While Big-Box stores started pushing their weight around, he sold it in 2006, on which Greg, one of his sons, withdrew and followed a passion to build wooden boats with his son, Brent. They still had a passion – making beer – and as Brent’s brother, Adam, says: “They became so good, when the family held blind tastings, their beer would win against the commercial products. Brent has a congenital concept of flavors that come together.” And that led to the opening of four wind in 2013.
