Reverend Franklin Graham Stands Behind VP JD Vance Following Heated Exchange with Senators

In a recent statement to Fox News Digital, Reverend Franklin Graham expressed his support for Vice President JD Vance after a controversial social media post directed at senators during a heated discussion about Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Graham commended Vance for his defense of Secretary Kennedy, who has been challenging the pharmaceutical industry and pushing for improved health policies. However, Graham did suggest that Vance could have chosen his words more carefully in the exchange.

In his statement, Graham said, “While Vice President Vance’s choice of words may have been ‘salty,’ his message is valid. It is important to stand up against corruption and work towards the betterment of the health of the American people. God bless Secretary Kennedy and Vice President Vance.”

The controversy erupted during a Senate Finance Committee hearing where Kennedy faced tough questioning from Senator Ron Wyden. Vance took to social media to defend Kennedy, calling out senators for their support of controversial health therapies for children.

Kennedy later reposted Vance’s comments, thanking him for his support. The exchange garnered attention and support from White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who praised Kennedy for challenging entrenched interests.

Notably, this is not the first time Graham has weighed in on political leaders’ language. In the past, he urged President Donald Trump to refrain from using foul language in his public speeches.

Graham concluded his statement with a blessing for both Secretary Kennedy and Vice President Vance. Representatives for Vice President Vance have not yet responded to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
