Eligible voters are encouraged to register to vote in elections in Preston

NORTH PRESTON, NS — Eligible voters in the Preston constituency who are not yet on the electoral roll are encouraged to register to vote in the August 8 by-election.
New voters include young adults age 18 or older, new Canadian citizens, and those who have moved to Nova Scotia but have yet to vote in provincial elections.
While pre-registration is not required, voters may receive a personalized voter information card detailing when and where to vote.
To vote, individuals must be a Canadian citizen, be 18 years of age or older on August 8, reside in the Preston constituency, and have lived in Nova Scotia for at least six months from January 7, the day the midterm elections took place. called.
The by-election aims to fill the seat left vacant by the resignation of Angela Simmonds earlier this year.
Simmonds, who won the Preston ride in the August 17, 2021 election, left her post in late March following a failed bid for the leadership of the Nova Scotia Liberals last year.
