ROLLING CONTROVERSY: Far-left Dem Jasmine Crockett faces week of backlash amid ‘unhinged’ comments
Far-left Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, has had a tumultuous week full of missteps and controversies that may lead to a possible censure in the House of Representatives. The young Progressive Democrat has been under fire for a series of inflammatory comments that have drawn criticism from the president and the White House.
The trouble began when U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi warned Crockett to “tread carefully” after she made comments suggesting that she wanted to see Tesla CEO Elon Musk taken down on her birthday. These remarks came in the midst of violent attacks and threats against Tesla owners and workers, prompting Bondi to caution Crockett about her language.
Ignoring this warning, Crockett found herself embroiled in another controversy when a video interview surfaced in which she appeared to advocate for physically harming conservative Sen. Ted Cruz. Referring to him as “Governor Hot Wheels” during a pro-LGBTQ event, Crockett faced widespread backlash for mocking a disabled individual, regardless of their political affiliation.
President Trump weighed in on the matter, calling Crockett a “lowlife” and questioning her intelligence. Rep. Randy Weber announced plans to introduce a resolution to censure Crockett for her statements, but the congresswoman has refused to apologize, claiming her comments were taken out of context.
Despite her denials, Crockett has a history of making disparaging comments about Abbott’s disability, raising concerns about her attitude towards individuals with physical challenges. She has also faced criticism for dismissing the topic of trans inclusion in sports as a “distraction” and making insensitive remarks about Rep. Byron Donalds’ interracial marriage.
