For the most part, it is not necessary to use animation films to resort to stunt-casting of celebrities. Does children really state that it is Chris Pratt that Garfield would spend whether Rihanna is Smurfet? Do parents do? So many children’s films nowadays seem to spend huge sources on securing well -known vocal talent (the words “Zendaya is cheeing” something for someone?) Instead of placing their money it matters: story and design.

But not Bad guys.

Okay, the franchise, based on Aaron Blabey’s books, does not completely avoid such stunt-casting tricks. For example, I am not sure how much the target group really appreciates the vocal work of Awkwafina as a Tarantula from Cyber-Hacker. Or Lilly Singh as a journalist named Tiffany Fluffit. But the films live and die based on the performance of Sam Rockwell as the protagonist, Mr. Wolf.

The Oscar-winning actor, prior to his long-awaited breakthrough in the Drama 2017 Three billboards outside Ebbing, Missourihas long been one of the most colorful (and underestimated) artists of the films and the global world. Thanks to his witch-like way, his puppy-dog face and the wire-like, quirky way in which he wrapps his tongue around dialogue, Rockwell has spent decades for decades to perfect a kind of debonair feeling of danger. You are never entirely sure if Rockwell wants to kiss or kill you. And you are pretty sure that he also has no idea.

All this makes the actor perfectly suited for Mr. Wolf, the leader of a group of so -called bad guys who, it turns out, are actually pretty good. After they have proven themselves in the first of director Pierre Perifel Bad guys Film in 2022, the animal uhs (a piranha, a snake, a shark, etc.) are back in this outing, with the gang blackmaking in a robbery by a group of, well, badgirls (a cat, a wild boar and a raven, to be precise).

The story itself is fairly forgotable, with a large part of the plot that the bow of the bow of the Fast & Furious franchise (including an almost beat-by-beat facsimile of the large Rome car that opens it opens Fast X). And the script is just stuck with flat one-liners and too many farts to count.

But when Rockwell’s Purr comes, which often gets the central role of Mr Wolf, the entire affair, which unites both children who are naturally banned from the delivery of the actor and adults who work Oscar caliber in an otherwise forgetful children’s film.
