Sens. Schmitt, Cornyn lead Senate probe into alleged cover-up of Biden’s decline
Senate Republicans are gearing up to launch their own investigation into the alleged “conspiracy” surrounding former President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline. Senators Eric Schmitt of Missouri and John Cornyn of Texas recently announced their plans to hold a Senate Judiciary hearing on June 18th to delve into the alleged cover-up of Biden’s mental decline while in office. Both lawmakers believe that Biden’s decline was concealed for “years” and are determined to uncover the truth behind the alleged cover-up. In the House, there are efforts to create a select committee to investigate the alleged cover-up. House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer of Kentucky has also called on several high-ranking staffers from the Biden White House to participate in transcribed interviews regarding their alleged roles in covering up the former president’s decline. The individuals summoned include Neera Tanden, Annie Tomasini, Anthony Bernal, Ashley Williams, and Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor.
The momentum behind this investigation has been fueled by the release of “Original Sin” by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, which alleges that the Biden White House attempted to control the narrative surrounding the former president’s health and that his allies worked to conceal his decline.
