US Election 2024

Soros DAs suffer 12 big defeats, billionaire’s agenda faces uncertain future

Americans are sending a clear message to the woke left when it comes to their approach to crime, as evidenced by the recent district attorney elections. A majority of the 25 George Soros-linked district attorneys on the ballot this week were defeated, indicating a backlash against progressive policies that have been blamed for a surge in crime across the country in recent years.

Despite Vice President Harris winning comfortably in many deep blue jurisdictions, the Soros-backed candidates suffered heavy losses, suggesting that even a large portion of Democrats are fed up with the progressive Left’s soft on crime experiment. The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund, a pro-police non-profit that tracked the 25 races, reported that 12 of the Soros-linked district attorneys were either defeated or recalled.

George Soros, the Hungarian-born left-wing billionaire, is known for running a dark money web of non-profits that support candidates who align with his progressive agenda. His Open Society Foundations have received over $32 billion in donations since 1984. The high-profile loss of District Attorney George Gascón in Los Angeles, who was backed by Soros, is seen as a significant blow to the progressive movement. Gascón was defeated by his tough on crime opponent, Nathan Hochman, a former federal prosecutor.

In another blow to Soros-backed prosecutors in California, District Attorney Pamela Price was recalled in Alameda County, just two years after taking office. The voters’ backlash against soft-on-crime policies was particularly evident in battleground states like Georgia, where District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez was ousted by 20%. Gonzalez represented the county where nursing student Laken Riley was allegedly killed by an illegal migrant who had been arrested and released before the crime.

While there were some wins for Soros-linked candidates, traditional prosecutors in states like Arizona and Michigan overperformed Trump’s margin of victory and beat back their progressive challengers. The defeats come amid a wave of theft, smash-and-grab robberies, and organized retail crime gangs targeting retail chains and small businesses.

It is clear that public safety is not a partisan issue but a common-sense one, as evidenced by the voter backlash against soft-on-crime policies. Out of roughly 75 Soros-linked prosecutors nationwide, over 30 have left office, with 20 being replaced by traditional district attorneys. This shift in the political landscape reflects a growing dissatisfaction with progressive approaches to crime and a desire for tougher law enforcement measures.

The recent district attorney elections serve as a wake-up call to the woke left, signaling a shift in public sentiment towards a more robust and proactive approach to tackling crime. As Americans turn the page on the progressive experiment, it is evident that public safety and law enforcement are top priorities for voters across the political spectrum.
