South Korea reaches deal with US to release migrant workers arrested in Georgia

The South Korean government has successfully negotiated a deal with the U.S. to secure the release of hundreds of migrant workers who were detained at a Hyundai automobile factory in Georgia.

Homeland Security Investigations reported that a total of 475 individuals, primarily from South Korea, were arrested for being in the country illegally during an operation at the under-construction battery plant. However, Hyundai clarified that none of the detained individuals were directly employed by the car company.
