‘Squad’ progressive Omar claims Iran never attacked Americans as evidence shows otherwise

Progressive congresswoman Rep. Ilhan Omar recently made a bold claim that no one has attacked the United States, as lawmakers debate the country’s role in the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. She urged for America to stay out of wars and not be dragged into conflicts that are not directly related to the safety and security of the nation.

President Donald Trump, on the other hand, called for Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” on Truth Social and indicated that the patience of the United States is wearing thin. He made it clear that America won’t strike Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, at least for now. The situation has sparked a debate about the history of attacks on Americans by Iran and its proxies.

A recent Fox News Digital report has refuted Omar’s claim by providing extensive examples of Iran’s direct and proxy attacks on U.S. forces, support for terror groups, and assassination efforts. The report highlighted the significant role Iran has played in targeting and killing Americans worldwide.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also pointed out that Trump remains a target for the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the regime wanting to kill him as “enemy No. 1.” The Department of Justice has even announced charges against an Iranian citizen and two individuals from New York for their involvement in a murder-for-hire plot targeting multiple American citizens, including Trump.

Iran’s actions have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of U.S. service members in Iraq and Afghanistan, with the regime providing support to terror groups like the Taliban and al Qaeda. Surviving family members and victims have sought justice against Iran, holding the regime accountable for its role in attacks that have caused harm to American soldiers and civilians.

The report also highlighted Iran’s involvement in bombings that killed Americans in Lebanon in 1983, as well as numerous attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq, Syria, and Jordan by Iranian-backed militias. The recent drone attack on a U.S. base in Iraq further underscores the ongoing threats posed by Iran and its proxies to American interests in the region.

As the debate over America’s role in the conflict between Israel and Iran continues, it is essential to consider the history of attacks on Americans by Iran and its proxies. The United States must remain vigilant and prepared to defend its interests against any threats posed by hostile actors in the region.
