A group of excited Taylor Swift fans from Nova Scotia have embarked on a journey to Toronto to witness the international pop star perform on her highly anticipated Eras Tour. Jill Wagner, the co-founder of Atlantic Canadian Swifties, described the atmosphere in the city as “electric” during Swift’s opening performance on Thursday night.
Wagner shared that the city was adorned with friendship bracelet murals, posters featuring Swift, and even cabs donning the singer’s face. She expressed her amazement at the overwhelming presence of Taylor Swift everywhere she looked, creating a truly unforgettable experience for fans.
The first of six shows that Swift will be holding at the Rogers Centre took place on Thursday night, attracting an estimated 30 million fans who attempted to secure tickets for the Toronto dates over a year ago. Wagner mentioned that it was easy to spot fellow Swift fans among the crowd due to their distinctive friendship bracelets and merchandise.
During her time in Toronto, Wagner encountered other fans from Nova Scotia who had taken the opportunity to explore the city before settling into their floor seats for the concert. She shared her excitement at being part of Swift’s first Canadian show as the Eras Tour comes to a close, revealing that this marked her 31st time seeing the pop star perform live.
Reflecting on the immense popularity of Swift’s Toronto shows, Toronto Police Deputy Chief Lauren Pogue emphasized the city’s collaborative efforts to ensure a smooth and safe experience for attendees. Swift’s final show in Toronto is scheduled for November 23, with her last Canadian tour date set for December 8 in Vancouver.
