A 20-year-old man from Sydney died Saturday in a single-vehicle car crash on Highway 125 near Point Edward, N.S.

A 20-year-old man from Sydney died Saturday in a single-vehicle car crash on Highway 125 near Point Edward, N.S.

According to Nova Scotia RCMP, first responders were called to the crash scene just before 6 p.m.

Once they arrived, they found a badly damaged car that appeared to have overturned, according to a media release.

The driver, the only person in the car at the time, was ejected from the vehicle, police say. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway. Highway 125 was closed for several hours but has reopened.
