Paq’tnkek man, 27, charged with second-degree murder after autopsy

ANTIGONISH, N.S. — A 27-year-old Paq’tnkek man was been charged with second-degree murder Friday in the death of a 40-year-old man last weekend. 

Issiah Julian, known to the victim, was arrested on Feb. 4 after Antigonish County District RCMP responded to a sudden death at a home on Petow Loop Extension. 

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Service completed the autospy on Feb. 9 and deemed the death a homicide. 

Julian has been remanded into custody and is set to appear in Antigonish provincial court on March 6. 

The investigation is ongoing.
