Taylor Swift motorcade back on Toronto highway
Taylor Swift Returns to Toronto for Another Spectacular Show
Taylor Swift has made her grand return to Toronto for the next leg of her highly anticipated ‘The Eras Tour.’
The superstar’s motorcade was spotted cruising along the Gardiner Expressway on Thursday afternoon, heading towards the bustling downtown area in preparation for her performance at the Rogers Centre.
Video footage captured a police motorcycle leading a convoy of sleek black SUVs on the highway, with another police cruiser trailing behind to ensure smooth passage for the entourage.
The motorcade reached the Rogers Centre just after 2:30 p.m., a couple of hours ahead of the concert’s commencement and the opening of the gates for eager fans.
Stephanie Sayer, a spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service, confirmed that the police escort for Taylor Swift is part of the comprehensive security measures in place for her concert series in Toronto, with the expenses covered by the police service.
The police provided a fleet of vehicles for approximately 20 minutes to facilitate rolling closures on highways like the 427 and Gardiner, ensuring a seamless journey for the pop sensation without causing any complete road closures.
With only three more shows lined up in Toronto before Swift concludes her marathon tour with a final performance in Vancouver on December 8th, fans are eagerly anticipating her upcoming shows in the city, including the grand finale on Saturday.
