Taylor Swift: N.S. couple gets engaged at Toronto show
A Taylor Swift Love Story: Nova Scotia Couple Gets Engaged at Eras Tour
Love was in the air at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Toronto as a Nova Scotia couple, Taylor Evans and Nicole McPhee, took their relationship to the next level with a romantic proposal during the concert.
The couple, who are avid Swifties, shared a special connection with the singer’s music from the start of their relationship. “That’s our song since we started dating,” McPhee revealed, referring to Swift’s ballad “Lover.”
Evans planned the proposal during the concert, knowing it would be the perfect moment to pop the question. “We started dating listening to Taylor Swift, we always kind of joked around if we’d see Taylor Swift it would kind of be the perfect time to propose, so everything just kinda … lined up, so to speak,” he explained.
The surprise proposal caught McPhee off guard, even though they had discussed the possibility of getting engaged. The crowd of Swifties around them went wild as Evans got down on one knee, making the moment even more memorable.
The couple, who became parents to a baby girl in March, have been enjoying the Swift-themed events in Toronto leading up to the concert. From dancing in the hotel lobby to experiencing the electrifying energy of the Rogers Centre during the show, they described the entire experience as “one big party.”
While they don’t have concrete wedding plans yet, Evans revealed that their first dance song will undoubtedly be “Lover.” The couple’s love story, intertwined with Taylor Swift’s music, continues to blossom as they look forward to their future together.
