Tesla hypocrisy: Dems continue investing in Elon Musk company despite painting him as villain

The silence from Democratic lawmakers on the recent wave of violence and attacks against Tesla owners and workers continues to raise eyebrows. Despite the clear acts of domestic terrorism targeting the company, only Rep. Rosa DeLauro has spoken out against these heinous acts.
It is concerning that some Democrats are actively investing in Tesla while simultaneously vilifying Elon Musk as corrupt and even going so far as to label him a “Nazi.” The attacks on Tesla dealerships, vehicles, and owners have been escalating, with incidents ranging from firebombings to doxxing campaigns aimed at encouraging violence against everyday Americans.
Despite the ongoing attacks, some Democratic lawmakers, including Reps. Josh Gottheimer, Vicente Gonzalez, Gil Cisneros, and Ro Khanna, have continued to invest in Tesla shares. This contradiction in their actions and rhetoric has not gone unnoticed.
In a bizarre turn of events, Rep. Gil Cisneros went on record criticizing Musk and President Trump, only to purchase Tesla stock shortly thereafter. Similarly, Rep. Gottheimer issued a scathing statement against Musk’s access to sensitive data but disclosed purchasing up to $45,000 in Tesla stock around the same time.
As the anti-Musk sentiment reaches new heights, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has come to Musk’s defense, pointing out the hypocrisy of Democratic lawmakers who were once champions of electric vehicles and Tesla until Musk expressed support for Donald Trump.
The White House has condemned the attacks on Tesla as domestic terrorism and praised Attorney General Pam Bondi for investigating these crimes. It is clear that the Democratic Party’s stance against Musk and Tesla is driven by their opposition to Trump rather than any principled position.
The ongoing violence and attacks against Tesla must be unequivocally condemned by all lawmakers, regardless of their personal feelings towards Musk. It is essential to prioritize the safety and security of American citizens and hold those responsible for these acts of domestic terrorism accountable.
