The rumours are not true. Atlantic Superstores are decorating for the holidays

Loblaw Confirms Stores Will Be Decked Out for the Holidays

Despite widespread rumours on social media suggesting otherwise, Loblaw has confirmed that its stores will indeed be decorating for the holidays this year.

In a statement to CBC News, a spokesperson for the grocery giant categorically stated that stores are currently in the process of getting into the festive spirit.

“Our stores and customers celebrate throughout the season with festive music and various decorations, including in-store holiday signage, a calendar of in-store activities such as holiday sweater and Elf on the Shelf days,” said Loblaw, which operates a variety of retailers including Atlantic Superstore in the Maritimes.

“We typically ramp up our holiday decorations after Black Friday, but customers can already enjoy our holiday commercial on air and witness the beginning of festive celebrations in our stores.”

The statement also included photos showcasing various Christmas decorations, including a beautifully adorned Christmas tree and vibrant poinsettias.

Recently, rumours began circulating on social media platforms like Facebook, suggesting that Atlantic Superstores were not planning to decorate for the holidays this year, sparking thousands of comments and reactions.

CBC News even received inquiries from customers seeking clarification on the matter.

“I will never step foot in Superstore or any of their affiliated stores again,” one person wrote. “That you can count on.”

Other individuals took to Facebook to express their intention to boycott the chain if holiday decorations were not put up.

However, Loblaw has set the record straight, stating that these rumours are completely unfounded.

“This is absolutely not the case,” affirmed Loblaw.
