Thousands of customers without power after crash near Armdale Roundabout

According to Nova Scotia Power’s outage map, more than 4,000 customers lost electricity Monday night. Halifax Regional Police say a motor vehicle crash led to downed power lines.

Thousands of power customers in Halifax lost electricity Monday night after a motor vehicle collision at the Armdale Roundabout.

Halifax Regional Police say there are downed power lines in the area and the Joseph Howe Drive exits are closed in both directions.

It’s not clear when those exits will reopen, police said.

As of 9:30 p.m. — according to the Nova Scotia Power outage map — there were 4,032 customers without power in the Armdale, Melville Cove and Cowie Hill area.
