Three more states inspect the sending of National Guard troops to DC

Governors from Mississippi, Tennessee and Louisiana have deployed National Guard troops to Washington to support President Donald Trump’s efforts to address crime in the nation’s capital and in other states led by Republicans who have pledged military assistance.
In a tweet posted on social media on August 18, Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves announced that he has authorized the deployment of approximately 200 National Guard soldiers “to bolster President Trump’s law and order efforts in the nation’s capital.”
