Tim Scott’s Senate campaign arm staff revealed ahead of crucial 2026 swing state races
The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has announced the senior staff who will be assisting incoming Chairman Tim Scott, R-S.C., in his efforts to expand the GOP majority in 2026. The team includes veterans of President-elect Donald Trump, Senator Tim Scott himself, and former Vice President Mike Pence.
Jennifer DeCasper, Scott’s longtime chief of staff and top adviser, has been appointed as the next NRSC executive director. Joining her as deputy executive director is Stephen DeMaura, who served as Pence’s 2024 presidential campaign manager and has a strong track record of winning elections.
“Two years of complete Republican control is good, but four years of a Trump agenda is even better,” Scott said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Defending the majority, going on offense, and advancing President Trump’s agenda requires an elite team to execute at the highest levels.”
Current NRSC Chairman Steve Daines, R-Mont., praised the appointment of DeCasper as Executive Director, highlighting her strategic insight, relentless drive, and commitment to conservative principles.
Cara Mason, a Trump alum, will serve as finance director, while Nathan Brand will join the NRSC team as Scott’s senior adviser. The committee’s next political director will be Brendan Jaspers, who previously worked with the Club for Growth. Joanna Rodriguez, currently handling communications for Sen. Pete Ricketts, R-Neb., will be the NRSC’s next communications director.
Ricketts will also be taking on the role of vice chair at the NRSC for the 2026 cycle, alongside veteran Senate staffer Brennen Britton as the director of external affairs and Brittney Godoy as the senior finance adviser.
“I’m especially excited to see a member of my senior staff, Joanna Rodriguez, join the team,” Ricketts said in a statement. “She will share her experience crafting winning, conservative messages with incumbents and challengers across the map.”
The NRSC emphasized the diverse political experience each team member brings to the table, highlighting their ability to work together to maintain and grow a GOP Senate majority in collaboration with President Trump.
In the upcoming 2026 elections, several races are expected to be competitive, including those for the seats of Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., Thom Tillis, R-N.C., and Susan Collins, R-Maine. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., has made a strong case to lead the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee during the same cycle, emphasizing the importance of effectively reaching out to voters in purple areas.
The newly announced senior staff for the NRSC are poised to work tirelessly to secure victories for the GOP and champion President Trump’s agenda of prosperity and security. With their strategic insight and experience, they are prepared to navigate the challenging political landscape and emerge victorious in the upcoming elections.
