Titanic submarine: will there be a movie?

James Cameron is not working on a project related to the OceanGate submarine tragedy.

The director of the Oscar-winning film ‘Titanic’ recently took to Twitter to close a suggestion that he has plans to work on a project about the submarine to the Titanic that suffered a ‘catastrophic implosion’ last month, which killed all five people. plate.

“Normally I don’t respond to offensive rumors in the media, but now I have to,” Cameron tweeted. “I am NOT in talks about an OceanGate movie and never will be.”

In addition to being a filmmaker, Cameron has completed more than 30 dives to the wreckage of the Titanic and is one of the few people to have descended to the deepest known point in the Earth’s seafloor.

Hamish Harding, Shahzada Dawood, Suleman Dawood, Paul-Henri Nargeolet and Stockton Rush perished trying to reach the historic shipwreck in a submarine known as the Titan. Their deaths were confirmed when wreckage was found after an international search.

Cameron told CNN at the time that he suspected an implosion had occurred.
