Top consumer advocacy expert targets ‘woke’ hospitals and companies disguising DEI practices

As the Trump administration and Republicans continue their efforts to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, companies and institutions are finding new ways to navigate around these challenges. Will Hild, the executive director of Consumers’ Research, recently spoke to Fox News Digital about the shifting landscape of DEI practices in the wake of these political changes.

Hild noted that many organizations are rebranding their DEI initiatives in response to the backlash against them. Instead of focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion, companies are now shifting towards terms like “belonging” and “inclusivity” in an attempt to distance themselves from the negative connotations associated with DEI. This rebranding effort is seen as a way to continue the same practices under a different name.

While some major companies have publicly distanced themselves from DEI, Consumers’ Research warns that this rebranding may simply be a way to avoid eliminating these practices altogether. Hild argues that many DEI professionals are unqualified and are only able to maintain their positions through the perpetuation of the DEI “grift.”

At the forefront of Consumers’ Research’s concerns are “woke” hospitals, which are investing significant resources into green initiatives that raise costs for consumers. Additionally, Hild highlighted the issue of DEI quotas at hospitals and the controversial practice of transgender surgeries being forced onto children. These practices, he argues, prioritize politics over patient care and are a violation of medical ethics.

Consumers’ Research has launched advertising campaigns against hospitals across the country, including a recent campaign against Henry Ford Health in Michigan. These campaigns aim to shed light on situations where hospitals prioritize political agendas over the well-being of their patients.

Overall, the debate over DEI policies continues to evolve as companies and institutions grapple with the changing political landscape. While some are rebranding their initiatives, others are actively pushing back against what they see as harmful practices. Consumers’ Research remains vigilant in their efforts to hold organizations accountable for their actions and ensure that patient care remains the top priority in the healthcare industry.
