The highest-paid staffer at the White House is Jacalynne Klopp, a senior adviser earning $225,700, followed by Edgar Mkrtchian, an associate counsel, making $203,645.
A group of 33 staffers, including well-known names like White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, border czar Tom Homan, and trade adviser Peter Navarro, earn $195,200. Secretary of State Marco Rubio does not receive compensation for his role as national security adviser, while special envoy Steve Witkoff is compensated by the state department.
President Trump’s compensation is not listed in the report, but as per federal law, he earns a base salary of $400,000, along with allowances for expenses, travel, and entertainment. During his first term, Trump donated his salary to government agencies and has pledged to do the same in his second term.
The White House has 108 employees earning between $59,000 and $80,000, with speechwriters making between $92,500 and $121,500. Eight employees do not receive salaries, with some having overlapping roles in other government departments.
