Trump ally floated as possible AG has harsh warning for Letitia James
Mike Davis, a close supporter of President-elect Donald Trump, did not hold back his criticism of New York Attorney General Letitia James during an interview on “The Benny Show” podcast. Davis, the founder of the Article III Project, issued a stern warning to James, daring her to continue her legal actions against President Trump in his second term.
“I dare you to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term,” Davis said. “Because listen here sweetheart, we’re not messing around this time. And we will put your fat a– in prison for conspiracy against rights and I promise you that.”
Davis cautioned James to think carefully before violating President Trump’s constitutional rights or the rights of any American citizen. He emphasized that such actions would not be tolerated again.
Earlier this year, James ordered Trump to pay a $454 million bond payment as part of a civil fraud case alleging that the former president inflated the value of his assets to secure better loans. Trump appealed the ruling, with his legal team denouncing the decision as draconian, unlawful, and unconstitutional.
Following Trump’s recent electoral victory, James and New York Governor Kathy Hochul vowed to resist any potential retaliation now that President-elect Trump is set to return to the White House.
During his interview with Johnson, Davis also criticized Fulton County Attorney General Fani Willis, who filed charges against Trump for his alleged involvement in efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
“[Fani Willis] is going to get disqualified from this case. This case will go to another district attorney in Georgia, and no reasonable individual would pursue these charges because objecting to a presidential election is not a crime,” Davis stated.
Willis, a Democrat, secured re-election by defeating Republican challenger Courtney Kramer. She gained attention early in her tenure by launching an investigation into whether Trump and others violated any laws while contesting his narrow loss to Biden in Georgia.
The case remains on hold as Trump and other defendants challenge a judge’s decision allowing Willis to proceed with the prosecution.
Fox News Digital has reached out to the offices of James and Willis for their response to Davis’ remarks.
Davis, a former Supreme Court clerk and Senate aide, has been rumored as a potential candidate for White House Counsel in the upcoming Trump administration. However, he has dismissed these speculations, expressing his desire to serve as a Viceroy instead.
