US Election 2024

Trump approval rating hits 47%, as American name his most significant move so far: poll

President Donald Trump’s approval rating has reached a new high, according to a recent CNN poll. The poll, conducted from Feb. 13-17, surveyed 1,206 U.S. adults in both English and Spanish and found that Trump’s approval rating stands at 47%, with 52% disapproval.

The poll also revealed that a majority of Americans believe Trump’s most significant action has been securing the border, with 28% citing this as his top accomplishment. This was followed by his efforts to slash government spending with Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency, which garnered 12% of the respondents’ votes.

However, despite his relatively high approval rating, many Americans feel that Trump has not done enough to address everyday prices. The poll showed that 62% of Americans believe he has fallen short on this issue, including 47% of Republicans, 65% of independents, and 73% of Democrats.

The CNN poll comes on the heels of three other polls released on Wednesday, which showed varying approval ratings for the president. A Quinnipiac University survey indicated that 45% of voters approve of Trump’s job performance, while 49% disapprove. This is a slight decrease from a late January poll that showed a 46%-43% approval/disapproval rating.

Additionally, a Gallup poll showed Trump’s approval rating at 45% with a 51% disapproval rating, down from 47%-48% in the previous month. A Reuters/Ipsos national survey also released on Wednesday revealed a 44% approval rating and a 51% disapproval rating for the president.

Overall, Trump’s approval ratings remain above water according to new surveys this week from various polling organizations. Despite some fluctuations, Trump’s approval rating has remained relatively steady, reflecting ongoing support from his base.

Trump’s first few weeks back in the White House have been marked by a flurry of executive orders and actions aimed at fulfilling campaign promises and making significant cuts to the federal government. His aggressive approach has allowed him to quickly make his mark on the federal government and address longstanding issues.

In conclusion, President Trump’s approval rating continues to be a topic of interest and debate among Americans. As he navigates the challenges of his second term in office, his actions and decisions will continue to shape public perception and influence future polling data.
