EXCLUSIVE – President Donald Trump announced the launch of America Prays at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. today, tying the faith-driven initiative to the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday.
The program encourages Americans to dedicate time each week to pray for the country, emphasizing faith as fundamental to both America’s past and future.
“President Trump is championing one of America’s core founding principles – the belief that we are one nation under God,” stated White House Spokeswoman Taylor Rogers. “As we approach the 250th anniversary of our great nation, President Trump urges Americans to come together in prayer for our country and its people. America is stronger when united in prayer.”
The initiative also encourages individuals to join with at least 10 others each week to pray.

The announcement follows Trump’s appearance at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in July, where he inaugurated America250, the official year-long celebration.
“As we gear up to commemorate two and a half centuries of freedom, I invite America’s diverse religious communities to come together in prayer for our nation and its people,” Trump declared. “From the outset, this nation has been sustained and strengthened by prayer. By reinstating faith, we will witness overall improvement. So, as we navigate our path towards the next 250 years, let us reaffirm our commitment to one nation under God.”
The launch of America Prays on Monday extends this message into a faith-driven movement.
Support from Faith Leaders
Faith leaders have rallied behind the president’s initiative. Franklin Graham, President of Samaritan’s Purse, remarked: “Our most significant battles are fought on our knees, and through America Prays, we can unite in seeking God’s guidance and protection for this land.”
Pastor Clint Pressley of the Southern Baptist Convention added that prayer is “a public declaration of our reliance on God for wisdom and strength.”

The America Prays initiative has garnered support from various faith-based organizations, including Samaritan’s Purse, Pray.com, Hallow, National Religious Broadcasters, Faith and Freedom Coalition, and numerous churches and ministries nationwide.
Organizers assert that the initiative reflects the enduring spirit that has characterized America since its inception – a united people of faith seeking God’s blessings as the nation embarks on its next 250 years.
