Trump knew of Israel’s strikes on Iran before they happened

The Israeli strikes on Iran resulted in the deaths of three top military commanders, including Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami, Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, and Commander of Iran’s Emergency Command Gholam-Ali Rashid. Trump disclosed that he had been in communication with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu leading up to the strikes.
While the Trump administration informed key Middle Eastern allies about the impending Israeli attack, they made it clear that the United States was not directly involved in the operation.
