Trump picks Steven Cheung for communications director, Sergio Gor for personnel office director

President-elect Trump has made two additional appointments to his White House staff, further solidifying his team as he prepares to take office. Steven Cheung, who previously served as the communications director for the Trump-Vance campaign, has been promoted to assistant to the president and director of communications. Cheung’s experience and dedication to Trump’s America First principles make him a valuable asset to the administration.
In addition to Cheung, Sergio Gor has been named the director of the presidential personnel office. Gor, a close ally and business partner of Donald Trump Jr., brings a wealth of experience from his time leading the pro-Trump political action committee Right For America and working in Republican Sen. Rand Paul’s office. Both Cheung and Gor have been staunch supporters of the president-elect since his first campaign in 2016, and their continued dedication to his vision for the country has earned them these key roles in the White House.
President-elect Trump expressed his excitement about the new appointments, stating, “Steven Cheung and Sergio Gor have been trusted Advisors since my first Presidential Campaign in 2016, and have continued to champion America First principles throughout my First Term, all the way to our Historic Victory in 2024. I am thrilled to have them join my White House, as we Make America Great Again!”
Gor’s appointment was first reported by Semafor and received praise from Trump Jr., who commented, “Awesome news. Sergio will be great!” The president-elect has emphasized the importance of loyalty in his administration, citing past mistakes in choosing disloyal individuals for key positions. As he shapes his team for his upcoming term, Trump is focused on selecting individuals who share his vision and will work tirelessly to advance his agenda.
Among Trump’s other picks for his administration are Rep. Elise Stefanik for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Rep. Mike Waltz for national security adviser, and Sen. Marco Rubio for secretary of state. Additionally, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy are expected to lead the Department of Government Efficiency.
Controversially, Rep. Matt Gaetz has been chosen as Trump’s attorney general, and campaign surrogate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be nominated to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. These appointments reflect Trump’s commitment to bringing in individuals who will prioritize the interests of the American people and work to ensure a prosperous future for the nation.
As the transition to the new administration continues, President-elect Trump is assembling a team of experienced and dedicated individuals who will help him achieve his goals for the country. With Cheung and Gor at the helm of the communications and personnel offices, respectively, Trump is confident in his ability to lead the nation towards a brighter future.
