Trump reportedly chooses Sergio Gor to lead Presidential Personnel Office
One of Donald Trump Jr.’s allies and business partners, Sergio Gor, has reportedly been offered a key position in his father’s second term in the White House. Gor is expected to lead the Presidential Personnel Office and will be responsible for assisting President-elect Donald Trump in recruiting, vetting, and nominating thousands of political appointees across the federal government.
Trump Jr. expressed his excitement about the news on social media, stating, “Awesome news. Sergio will be great!” Gor, as the president and co-founder of Trump Jr.’s publishing company, is part of President-elect Trump’s efforts to assemble a second administration filled with allies, loyalists, and supporters.
President Trump has previously acknowledged that one of the biggest mistakes of his first presidency was selecting disloyal individuals to join his administration. Gor, who has helped publish books by both the former and future president, left his position as a longtime aide to Sen. Rand Paul to join the finance committee for Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign.
In addition to his work with Trump, Gor also officiated a wedding in California for Rep. Matt Gaetz, another Trump ally who has been nominated for attorney general. Gaetz has since resigned from the House of Representatives following his selection for the Department of Justice.
Gor is just one of the latest picks for Trump’s new administration, which includes individuals like Rep. Elise Stefanik, Rep. Mike Waltz, and Sen. Marco Rubio. Other notable figures like Tesla CEO Elon Musk and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy are expected to lead Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency.
Overall, Gor’s appointment underscores President-elect Trump’s commitment to building a team of trusted individuals to serve in his administration. With a focus on loyalty and efficiency, Trump is shaping his second term with individuals who share his vision for the future of the country.
