Trump reveals slew of picks for big jobs

President Donald Trump made a series of announcements on Thursday, revealing his picks for key positions including the director of the U.S. Marshals Service and three ambassadors. In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump introduced Gadyaces “Gady” Serralta as the next director of the United States Marshals Service.

Describing Serralta as a dedicated public servant with 34 years of law enforcement experience, Trump highlighted his outstanding performance as the U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Florida for the past six years. Prior to this role, Serralta served as a major for the Miami-Dade Police Department and as police chief in Palmetto Bay, Florida. Trump expressed confidence in Serralta’s ability to work with Attorney General Pam Bondi to prioritize restoring law and order and ensuring the safety of American citizens.

Additionally, Trump announced the appointment of Thomas Rose as the United States ambassador to Poland. Rose, a respected businessman and former radio show host on Sirius XM, is known for his role as the Publisher and CEO of The Jerusalem Post. Trump emphasized Rose’s commitment to representing American interests in Poland and putting America first.

Michael E. Kavoukjian was unveiled as the next United States ambassador to Norway. A distinguished attorney and Senior Partner at White & Case, Kavoukjian’s background includes serving as a CIA operations officer and holding degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Law School. Trump commended Kavoukjian’s expertise and global experience in leading complex commercial litigation teams.

Melinda Hildebrand, wife of billionaire businessman Jeffery Hildebrand, was appointed as the United States ambassador to Costa Rica. Trump praised Hildebrand’s success as a businesswoman and philanthropist, noting her dedication to protecting America’s interests abroad, particularly in trade and immigration.

Nicholas Merrick was selected as the United States Ambassador to the Czech Republic. With a background in business and education, Merrick leads a prominent family office and has held executive positions in telecommunications companies. Trump highlighted Merrick’s impressive academic achievements from the University of Virginia and Harvard University.

As Trump continues to fill key positions in his administration, 11 of his Cabinet nominees have been confirmed by the Senate. These appointments reflect his commitment to selecting individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise to represent the United States on the international stage.
