Trump warns Iran of ‘more brutal’ Israeli attacks if no nuclear deal made

President Donald Trump recently made a bold statement on Truth Social, warning Iran of even more brutal attacks from Israel if they do not come to a deal on their nuclear activities. Trump emphasized the need for Iran to make a deal before it is too late, urging them to save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. He highlighted the military capabilities of the United States and Israel, stating that they possess the most lethal military equipment in the world.
In response to Trump’s warning, Israel launched a sweeping strike on Iran, targeting key nuclear sites including Natanz. The attack resulted in the death of top Iranian military and nuclear officials, including General Hossein Salami and Major General Mohammad Bagheri. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted the strikes with over 200 fighter jets, dropping a total of 330 different munitions on more than 100 targets.
The U.S. and Iran were scheduled to continue nuclear talks in Muscat, Oman, but the future of these negotiations remains uncertain following the Israeli strikes. Secretary of State Marco Rubio clarified that the U.S. had no involvement in the attacks and urged Iran not to retaliate against U.S. positions. In anticipation of potential attacks, non-essential embassy staff in Iraq were evacuated.
Iran responded to the Israeli strikes by firing over 100 drones towards Israel, which were intercepted by Israeli defenses. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended the decision to launch the attacks, stating that they were necessary to prevent Iran from further advancing its nuclear capabilities. The IDF has vowed to continue the strikes in the coming days.
The escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran underscores the fragile state of affairs in the region. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, as the possibility of further conflict looms. It is crucial for all parties involved to exercise restraint and prioritize diplomatic solutions to prevent further escalation of violence.
