EXCLUSIVE: President Donald Trump’s America250 organization is set to create the world’s largest American flag in preparation for the semiquincentennial celebration on July 4, 2026.
Measuring a staggering 776 feet wide and 1,492 feet long, the flag will be a monumental symbol of American pride and unity.

Surpassing the height of the Empire State Building and nearly half the size of the Pentagon, the flag will be a breathtaking display of patriotism.

Sources close to the project have revealed that the National Mall is too small to unfurl the flag, sparking discussions about potential venues such as Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, a NASCAR speedway, or even Lebanon, Kansas – the geographic center of the United States.
“President Trump’s vision for America250 is unparalleled, and this record-breaking flag is just the beginning of an extraordinary celebration,” said America250 Executive Director Ari Abergel.
In comparison to previous record holders, including Qatar and Azerbaijan, America250’s flag is expected to exceed 1,157,000 square feet, marking a historic moment in American history.
“Made in America and unfurled by hundreds of patriots, this flag will symbolize the strength and unity of our nation during America250,” added Abergel.

The unveiling of the flag is expected to be a part of a grand celebration in the spring of 2026, showcasing President Trump’s commitment to patriotism and national pride.
“With President Trump at the helm, America is entering a new era of optimism and unity, making it the perfect time to commemorate our country’s 250th birthday with this historic flag,” said U.S. Chief of Protocol and America250 Principal Media Representative Ambassador Monica Crowley.
From now until the summer of 2026, America250 will host a series of events aimed at igniting patriotism and pride across the nation, including celebrations for the U.S. Navy’s and U.S. Marine Corps’ birthdays in 2025.

Controversy has arisen surrounding America250 after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer appointed Jack Schlossberg, grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, to the commission.
“America250 will be remembered as President Trump’s celebration, and his leadership will ensure its success,” concluded Abergel.
