Trump’s Cabinet reveals ‘nonsensical’ contracts it has canceled

President Donald Trump’s Cabinet has been hard at work identifying and canceling billions of dollars in contracts that they deem wasteful and fraudulent. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins highlighted several examples during a recent Cabinet meeting, including a $300,000 contract educating on food justice for queer and transgender farmers in San Francisco. Similar contracts in New York and Louisiana were also canceled, along with a contract studying the menstrual cycles of transgender men and another focused on diversity in the pest management industry.
Interior Secretary Doug Burgum shared that his department canceled an $830 million contract for surveys that were deemed to be simplistic and overpriced. President Trump called the contracts “fraud” and praised the work of Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in identifying and eliminating wasteful spending.
The EPA has also been active in canceling contracts, with over $22 billion in savings reported. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin mentioned canceling a $2 billion contract with an NGO tied to Stacey Abrams and highlighted the importance of the partnership with DOGE and Elon Musk in achieving these savings.
Overall, members of President Trump’s Cabinet are committed to identifying every last penny of wasteful spending and ensuring that taxpayer dollars are used efficiently. The collaboration with Elon Musk and DOGE has been instrumental in this effort, and the Cabinet is grateful for the opportunity to work towards greater fiscal responsibility for the American public.
