Trump’s ICE nabs child sex offenders among 530+ illegal immigrants caught in single day

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues its crackdown on illegal immigrants, with a focus on apprehending criminals, including child sex offenders and gang members. On a recent day of mass deportation efforts, ICE made over 530 arrests, including 373 criminal arrests and 165 non-criminal arrests. These arrests resulted in more than 1,000 removals or repatriations.
Among those arrested were individuals with convictions for heinous crimes. In Buffalo, New York, an Ecuadorian national convicted of rape was apprehended, as well as a national from the Dominican Republic convicted of sexual conduct against a child. In St. Paul, Minnesota, an individual from Honduras with a conviction for third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor was arrested. In San Francisco, a Mexican national convicted of sexual exploitation of a child was taken into custody.
ICE’s efforts also led to the arrest of 16 gang members, including individuals associated with the violent Tren de Aragua gang. Additionally, a Mexican national convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child aged 14 or younger was apprehended. In New York, a Turkish national who is a known or suspected terrorist was arrested.
These arrests are part of the mass deportation operation launched by the Trump administration. Since Trump’s inauguration, ICE has made a total of 460 arrests. The administration has implemented various measures to strengthen border security and enforce immigration laws, including restarting wall construction, ending parole programs, and deploying the military to the border.
The recent arrests highlight the administration’s commitment to upholding immigration laws and removing dangerous individuals from the country. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt praised the ongoing deportation efforts, stating that the administration is delivering on its promises to secure the border and protect American communities.
As ICE continues its enforcement actions, the agency remains focused on targeting individuals with criminal records and gang affiliations. The administration’s tough stance on illegal immigration underscores its commitment to protecting national security and public safety.
