Tulsi Gabbard describes palpable energy in historic first Trump Cabinet meeting

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard shared her insights on the invigorating atmosphere inside President Donald Trump’s first Cabinet meeting, which took place at the White House on Wednesday. Gabbard described the energy in the room as high-level and positive, with a sense of urgency as the team works together in record time.
“We are all in sprint mode,” Gabbard told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview following the meeting. She emphasized the dedication of the Cabinet members to serving the country and the American people, ensuring safety, security, freedom, and prosperity. Gabbard praised the team’s commitment and highlighted the inspiration that Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has brought to the administration.
One of the unique aspects of Trump’s Cabinet, according to Gabbard, is the longstanding relationships and friendships among the members. She described the level of collaboration as unprecedented, noting that most of the Cabinet members have known each other for a long time and have worked together in the past.
The second-term Cabinet under Trump has achieved several milestones, including the appointment of Gabbard as the first Pacific Islander director of national intelligence. Other notable appointments include Secretary of State Marco Rubio as the first Hispanic in his role and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent as the first openly gay Republican Cabinet member.
In addition, Trump has increased the representation of women in his Cabinet, with five women already appointed and eight nominated in total. Despite these achievements, Gabbard pointed out that there has been little recognition of the diversity and inclusivity within the Cabinet.
Gabbard also shared her experiences of facing discrimination and bias based on her identity as a woman of color, particularly during her presidential campaign in 2020. She highlighted the hypocrisy of some individuals who claim to support diversity, equity, and inclusion but are quick to dismiss the voices of marginalized individuals.
As the newly appointed DNI, Gabbard brings a unique perspective to the Cabinet and is dedicated to serving the country and upholding its values. The energizing atmosphere of Trump’s first Cabinet meeting sets the tone for a collaborative and productive term ahead.
