Two arrested and charged after Bridgewater search turns up drugs, weapon

BRIDGEWATER, N.S. — Two people were arrested and charged with drug and weapon offences following a search of a Bridgewater residence on Jan. 9.

A search warrant executed by RCMP and Bridgewater Police Service officers at a home on Autumn Street yielded a variety of drug trafficking paraphernalia including, ledgers, mobile phones, undetermined tablets/powder, prescription pills, and a replica handgun.

Two people — 42-year-old Peter Haralampopoulos and 27-year-old Monika d’Entremont, both face charges of possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

Both have been released and are expected to make pleas when they return to provincial court on March 27, but police say more charges are possible as the investigation continues.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-543-2464.
