Two men and a woman charged after stabbing man in Millbrook
MILLBROOK, NS — Two men and a woman are facing charges after a man was stabbed in Millbrook on Monday, June 19.
At around 4:20pm Millbrook RCMP officers received a report of a stabbing on Willow Street.
Mounties overheard a man at a petrol station on Willow Street talking to two men in a gold van before a male passenger got out of the van and stabbed him.
The man then fled in the van.
The 29-year-old victim, who suffered minor injuries, told officers at a local hospital that he was familiar with both the van driver and the attacker.
Later that evening, before 7:00 PM, RCMP received information that the two men were now driving a red Honda Civic and followed the victim as he drove home.
Millbrook RCMP, with help from Colchester County District RCMP, set out to find the Civic.
While on patrol, officers received a call that the victim was being threatened with a pistol from the Civic.
The Truro Police Department was contacted for additional support, as the vehicle was believed to have entered the Truro area.
At around 7:15 p.m., officers found the Civic on Willow Street and arrested three individuals without incident.
Searching the vehicle, officers found a loaded rifle, knife and ammunition when they searched the vehicle.
Quinn Googoo, 28, and Aric Martin, 34, both of Millbrook, have been charged jointly with aggravated assault, aiming a firearm and possessing a weapon for dangerous purposes. Both are due to appear in Truro Provincial Court on June 20.
The third person, a 29-year-old woman, was released on conditions and will be charged in court at a later date for unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
