Ukrainian Soldier Survives Horrific Torture by Russian Captors

After enduring unimaginable torture at the hands of his Russian captors, Ukrainian soldier Vladislav, 33, miraculously managed to escape and crawl to safety. Despite the atrocities he faced, Vladislav is determined to return to the frontline as soon as he recovers.

According to reports from Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne, Vladislav was captured while trying to assist his fellow soldiers who had been taken prisoner by Russian forces near the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. His family revealed that Vladislav had his throat cut, was buried alive alongside seven dead Ukrainian soldiers, and was subjected to unspeakable acts of brutality by his captors, including castration, eye gouging, and mutilation.

Unable to speak due to his injuries, Vladislav documented his harrowing ordeal in a diary, which was shared by his wife and brother. Despite the severe trauma he endured, Vladislav managed to free himself from the mass grave where he was buried alive by using a broken bottle to cut his restraints.

After five days of crawling through the wilderness, Vladislav finally reached Ukrainian lines on August 17 and was rushed to a military hospital. Despite his critical condition, doctors remain hopeful that he will recover and regain his ability to speak.

General Director Serhiy, a medic in the Ukrainian military, praised Vladislav’s resilience and determination to survive against all odds. Despite the grave nature of his injuries, Vladislav clung to hope throughout his ordeal, inspiring those who treated him.

With a young daughter waiting for him at home, Vladislav is already planning his return to the front line. Describing his Russian captors as “creatures,” he expressed his desire for them to experience the same horrors he endured alongside his fellow soldiers.
