Visible minorities went against the national trend as they landed more jobs in Canada in May, when the unemployment rate across the country rose to 5.2 percent, the first monthly increase since August, according to the latest labor force survey.

Women of that age also saw a boost in employment in May, with 19,000 more of them getting jobs.
