this limbo where I have one foot in the young parent world and one foot in the young adult world,\” Goguen said. \”I feel like I\’m missing out on both.\”She said there\’s a stigma around being a young parent — it\’s hard to find friends who understand her situation. \”I\’m hoping that the more people talk about it, the more young parents are going to come out of the woodwork.\”Goguen said she also feels pressure to have a second child from her family.\”My mom wants me to have a second child because she had a second child. But I think I\’m a little more self-aware than my parents were at my age.\”She said she wants to make sure she\’s in a stable place financially and emotionally before having another child. \”I can\’t imagine having two children right now. One is already so much work,\” Goguen said. But she said she also feels pressure to have another child for her son.\”I feel like he would benefit from having a sibling, especially since he\’s so young. I don\’t want him to be lonely.\”But she said she\’s also concerned about the environmental impact of having more children.\”The planet is already overpopulated. And I don\’t want to contribute to that problem.\”Goguen said she\’s also considering adoption as an option for expanding her family.\”There are so many kids out there who need a loving home. And I think that might be a better option for me.\”While she\’s still undecided, Goguen said she\’s taking her time to make sure she makes the right decision for herself and her son.Whether it\’s choosing to be child-free, having one child, or being undecided about having more, the decision to have children is a deeply personal one. And as birth rates continue to decline in Canada and around the world, it\’s clear that there are a multitude of factors at play. From financial pressures, to changing societal norms, to personal health and well-being, the reasons why people are having fewer children are as varied as the individuals themselves. And in the end, the most important thing is that people are able to make the choices that are best for them and their families.
