Woman arrested in 2022 Spryfield stabbing investigation released without charges
Halifax Regional Police have released a woman without charges after arresting her Thursday in connection with the death of another woman in Spryfield last year.
Const. John MacLeod said Friday morning that the investigation is continuing.
Police had 24 hours to charge the 31-year-old woman or release her after she was arrested Thursday morning in Halifax in connection with the stabbing death of 37-year-old Chauntel Lizette MacIntyre.
MacIntyre was found fatally injured at the intersection of Sylvia Avenue and Herring Cove Road at about 12:45 a.m. on May 17, 2022. She was taken to hospital, but died of her injuries.
