Woman taken to hospital after Lake Echo stabbing, police investigating

A 47-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed at a Lake Echo residence Friday evening.
Halifax RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing on Bumpy Lane in Lake Echo at about 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The RCMP said in a release that it was learned the victim was stabbed at the residence the previous evening.
Investigators do not believe the stabbing was a random act but no arrest has been made..
The investigation is being led by the Integrated RCMP/Halifax Regional Police General Investigation Section.
