A worker has died following a workplace incident aboard a Clearwater Seafoods vessel in Mulgrave, N.S., on Thursday.

Nova Scotia’s Department  of Labour, Skills and Immigration said Occupational Health and Safety officers are investigating. The department said a stop-work order is in place.

While the department did not say which vessel was involved, the only Clearwater vessel in Mulgrave — according to the ship tracker map — appears to be the Anne Risley.

CBC News reached out to Clearwater for details, but have not yet received a response.

This is the second workplace death reported in Nova Scotia in one week. On Monday, a worker at Irving’s Halifax Shipyard died after he was struck by a piece of equipment.

“As another family is mourning the loss of a loved one in one week, we want to remind everyone of the importance of workplace safety because all Nova Scotians should come home safe from work,” the department said in a statement on Friday.
