WWE’s Monday Night Raw to Debut on Netflix

World Wrestling Entertainment’s highly anticipated first episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix is set to air from the Intuit Dome on Jan. 6.

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque excitedly revealed the news during a surprise appearance at Travis Scott’s concert at ComplexCon in Las Vegas.

Starting in January, Netflix will be the exclusive carrier of Raw in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, and Latin America. As contracts expire, more countries will be added to the list. Additionally, Netflix will also stream all of WWE’s shows globally, including popular events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble.

Adding to the excitement, Travis Scott’s latest music will be featured as the theme song for Monday Night Raw.

This announcement comes on the heels of a challenging weekend for Netflix, with viewers facing streaming and buffering issues during the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight. Many frustrated fans took to social media platforms to voice their concerns.

According to Down Detector, around 85,000 viewers reported outages or streaming problems leading up to the fight. Despite these challenges, Netflix reported a global audience of 60 million for the bout, peaking at 65 million concurrent streams. Nearly 50 million households tuned in for the co-main event between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

Netflix will also be showcasing two NFL games on Christmas Day, further expanding its sports content offerings.
